So I think I have adhd or something cause damn am I always bored with everything besides working out. I literally get anxiety about getting off work In time just to go to the gym again lol idk hahah

I get anxiety when I work overtime and miss my training. Then when I train I worry I’m not going hard enough lol. I’m just wired tight always have been. Used to drink a lot so I didn’t have to deal with it. I’m too old for that now though so I just deal with it.

Exactly what other’s said especially with drinking in the past.

I’ve learned to slow down a bit and “smell the roses” as the saying goes. Life is very short and if you’re going full tilt boogie all the time you might miss something.

For me, boredom leads to temptation, and temptation is nothing more than the devil calling and leading me to sin… I do everything I can to not become bored, and If I am bored, it’s not for long because I know it leads nowhere but the middle of a big book of bad ideas floating around in my head

I agree with this. Read a book. Listen to a podcast. Learn something new. Use technology for your gain instead of against you. If you have focus in the gym, but not at anything else, it’s a lack of discipline issue.

Make yourself do things you don’t want to daily, and you will gain a tight control over this “boredom”

I’ve grown to like boredom. Take a nap! Hahaha

reading researching etc is a great idea. My doc and surgeon have both told me to throttle back a little in the last year or so. Apparently I’m not 19 yo anymore. I’ve learned to take breaks more often. Seems to take forever to get anything done but it eventually gets finished and I’m not beat half to death doing it.

@Xpliot have you ever thought of taking some night classes at your local community college? Learn something that you’ve always had in the back of your mind.

I took up welding for the first time a while ago.

I think it’s just a lot of things going on with culture that’s killed off a lot of entertaining things. Joe Rogan says comedy movies will never be the same cause cancel culture. We have the virus which killed off a lot of businesses. It seems like no one can talk philosophically or political without things getting tense. Wouldn’t it be nice to meet new people without the thought of a mask, or holding in that cough in? There is a weird funk in the air.

From that though, I’d do what everyone else is suggesting which is pretty much try to find another hobby, read a book, smell the roses.

And I just feel like nothing really catches my interest I guess. Like it’s hard for me to focus on other things
