Trout fishing with one of my boys today, caught 4, nothing big enough to keep yet.

Yea brotha love it up here, we usually do the " family vacation " down to Wildwood or seaside heights, but I wanted to change it up this year especially with the whole Covid situation. Absolutely beautiful out here I did a few kayak fishing tourney’s out here but never got to actually embrace my environment and my surroundings around these ways, bit absolutely love it!

1 year since I put my foot on sideways. Hope this year I can actually make progress on my legs since they are full go for training.

I catch them by accident on night crawlers throw em back, need to many for a meal and I don’t particularly enjoy their taste.

Yeah they are a lot of work for a little bit a meat, my dad and I go crappie fishin all the time it’s a lot of fun when they biting and we get some big ones, 15 each is the limit so if we get 30 of them it makes for a decent fish fry. Trout is good smoked for sure. They stock a stream around here and it’s a lot of fun.im trying to get my little ones into fishing but they’d rather play with the bait lol

I will keep perch, and lake trout, the little ones they stock are fun to catch but I don’t think taste to good

Yeah the ones here taste like dirt.
Yeah they will get into it in time. I look forward to taking them catfishing get them big’uns lol looks like your into hunting to you get the kids involved with huntin yet?

I am breaking my daughter in, age 9, I have brought her when I small game hunt, she actually just shot her first big guns on Father’s Day, .22 Marlin Lever Action and a 20ga with target rounds so not much kick, she still had a bruise even after I put my shirt between her shoulder n buttstock, so did I, but I put 2 dozen 30-30 rounds down range, she wore her bruise quite proudly.

As much as I love the 30 30 and 30 06. I’m in the process of saving for a .338 Lapua. The scope I have picked out cost more than the rifle. Love the feel and sound of bolt action rifles!
