I posted this a couple of days ago on @John roll call. I really believe this. Both of my older daughters have birthdays in November, they are in their mid/late 30’s. I couldn’t be prouder of them. They both are good citizens with good hearts. I have one more to go… getting baby girl on her way.

From a couple of days ago:

Brief reflection on life… I truly have it made. Sure… I don’t have my own private jet/helicopter or a stable of hot rod cars/motorcycles BUT I have everything that I need and enough leftover to give away and make someone else’s life a bit better.

Happy Thanksgiving All

This is such a beautiful post!!! As today has become so commercialized… It’s all about Black Friday and eating food.

We forget that today is about gratitude and being thankful for what we have.

I’m thankful for health, my kids, being a homeowner (rent is ridiculous) honorably serving my country (Marines) I’m extremely thankful for this site to have a place to go and not be judged.

I’m thankful for my relationship with God, I’m even more thankful for being an American. Can you imagine being in Gaza right now???

Just my little bit of reflection for the day…

May we also remember there are US Marines and US Army soldiers sending rounds down range as we speak.

Thank you to everyone here who served. Your sacrifice for our country was/is greatly appreciated.

May you all enjoy this day of gratitude ———>> 🙂

Semper!

This pic was taken in 2011 in a place called Sustani, which is West of Marjah in Afghanistan. I was team leader here as Corporal.

This deployment was dead, we got shot at maybe 15 times in a 6 month timespan. During our 2009 deployment to a place called Garmser, the Helmand Province, we got shot at everyday for 6 months.

Completely different feel as far as the atmosphere. This pic is very dear to me as this was the last day in the combat zone, from here we were heading back to the states…

On this patrol we got hit by a detonated device, the blast cracked my L3 vertebrae, left 3rd rib, left foot & grade II concussion…

Still made it home for thanksgiving!!!

Gratitude

They still have 60 mm mortars, I was actually 0341 81’s platoon.

It was a lot of fun going out with line companies and calling for fire.

The coolest thing to see is when you give a transmission over the radio and from there see the rounds impact enemy target.

Besides special forces and that fast rope shit, forward observer is the best job in the military. Of course I’m being bias… 😏😏😏 lol!!!
