I swear these keep changing I just try and rest till I feel recovered for next set. Like there is no way 3 minutes between squat sets is enough but maybe for leg extension
I did set my timer today… for what little i do… 2 minutes is a bit too long. Of course today was a less “intense“ day. Maybe if I hit it a bit harder… 2 minutes might be appropriate.
I break anywhere between 3:00 - 3:30 on everything other than legs, which could be between 3:30 - 4:30, like Dirt said, depending on how long it takes me from wanting to vomit before next set.
I usually just catch my breath and hit the next set. 30 to 60 seconds. Last night though my brother called between sets and i got that 3 minute rest. I was surprised when I was stronger the 4th set after the rest than I was the very 1st set.
