So,I got up this am, in a good mood, ready to work and get shit done,a smile on my face for a change, put the garbage out, let dogs out, 15 mins after puttin garbage out, the dogs go nuts, freakin out, bear came slung my fucking bags in the front yard, rippin shit open, I was real fuckin close to ending him. I already have to keep my garbage I accumulate thru the week in my basement, now I can’t even put it out a hour before it gonna get picked up, shit killed my mood.

Hit it with rock salt. You’ll either piss it off and have to kill it. Or you’ll scare it off. Both will make you feel better.

When I’m in the woods I carry I few Blunt point bolts and whack em, they run away and come back 20 mins later, I actually get down out the tree sometimes and chase them off and they don’t come back til the next day

During rifle season many moons ago, I was walking and climbed over a snow covered hill, turns out it was a bear den, damn thing sprang up and was about 3 feet from me before turning around and taking off.

I can easily put em down with the crossbow but they will run a bit before diein, and that is a problem.

A year ago I had a bald eagle that was injured walking around my driveway, probably got about 2 feet from him, I just knelt down and watched, you don’t realize how big they are and just how impressive their talons are until you are up close.

Called DNR and they wouldn’t send someone out to get it, so a neighbor brought a big kennel and got it in there and took it to a rehab place for animals.

Funny thing is there scared of us, I’ve charged them to scare them away dozens of times in the woods, it works real great… until it doesn’t I guess.

Yup,I have a side arm, when I’m out with my crossbow, so hopefully I shoot good if it comes to that

It would be really rare for a black bear to charge, a brown bear I wouldn’t want to come across.
