Muscle Redness and Soreness at Injection Site

I’m not sure if this matters or could be contributing but I did put the needle about halfway in then pulled it out and moved it to a different spot an inch or so away before sticking in and pinning.

The soreness doesn’t really bother me it’s just the fact that my whole glute is now red

I believe that an er visit is the way to go and nothing to be embarrassed about brother you need medical help and that’s what they are there for to help you trust me they have seen alot worse 😉

One shot one kill. Once you intrusive the needle, it’s go time. If for some reason you stick it and pull it, I’d change the needle. But that’s me. 1 because it will dull the needle. 2 it freaks me out a bit. 😂

How long has it been and if your whole glute is red, hot to touch go to the ER. If you think you’re going to be judged at the ER, think again. People go into those places with a lot stranger problems. ER nurses have seen it all. (I dated a gal who was a ER nurse. You’d be surprised at the stories she told me 😳)

Has it grown outside the circle? Do you have a fever? It’s it hot to the touch? Painful to touch?

Most walk ins can at least triage anything but trauma. That’s where I go when I need stitches, I’ve been casted at a walk in clinic, food poisoning and gotten iv fluids, had multiple X-rays done. You just have to call them as double check if they have an x ray. But it’s usually a much shorter weight and counts as a doctors visit under copay and not an ER visit.

I had to go to the ER when a pin broke off in my quad and disappeared. Believe me when I tell you that it was embarrassing, but absolutely necessary. Don’t fuck around about an infection. ER people have seen it all, they won’t be freaked out or judge you. They will just want to help.

It has grown outside the circle slightly. Doesn’t feel hot to the touch and only painful at the injection site because of the soreness. I’m probably going to get it checked out on my lunch break to be safe anyways.

If it’s outside the circle it’s definitely a reason to get it checked. If you go to the ED don’t worry at all about being embarrassed. Be nice, and thank the staff for every thing they do and you will be their best and favorite patient all day.

You think an urgent care would be able to take care of it though? Definitely a big cost difference at least on my insurance I get bent over any time I go to the ER

In general my anxiety is the worst part and I’m always worried about admitting to doing something that’s technically illegal so that’s why I’m embarrassed/hesitant. But I shouldn’t be that way

@Ags43z I have anxiety issues and I’m on meds for them,I can keep them incheck most the time…I’d imagine there’s a few compounds that are going to make your a anxiety worse,so be smart if you start something new, and your anxiety kicks up, I’d say drop it,just my two cents.
