Hey all just curious if any of you have come across this issue, I’ve been training heavier than normal, doing warm ups, getting loose, working up to heavier loads, but had my second muscle tear in a month, I’ve never had this issue before, any ideas, perhaps lacking a certain nutrient?

Any thoughts or suggestions if anyone has ran into this issue before.

I do drink a lot of caffeine, but down a gallon of water a day. Unless my electrolytes maybe low?

I do a lot a gallon is the bare minimum. I support that with a electrolyte type drink before a work out. You can get pedilite. Or those hydrating packets to add to water. I do at that as a minimum. Water only tends to flush out a lot of nutrients and a little potassium and sugar helps retain water. A good preworkout drink should have some form of in there too. Just my routine.

I’ll have to pick up some hydrating packets, I do chew snuff so I’m sure that dries me out a bit too, just never had issues until recently, guess age catches up with us all.

It does. If you want a cheap fix. Get pedilyte from like Walgreens. Mix half and half with water. Your GtoG. Also get the Walmart brand. Dirt cheap.

And chew snuff? Dude I used to chew to cut weight for wrestling. Your right that will expend additional water. 😂

I’ve quit like 5 times… been Copenhagen free since 2016… Only because my wife finds it gross. 😂. But to this day I still have a desire to go get a tin and put a big Ol fatty in my lip!😂

It’s weird how even after years when I quit that urge was still there, specially after a meal.

Copenhagen is my go-to.

Here’s a little secret. I dip when I’m on the road…😂. Hope my wife doesn’t find out. 😂

I would say it’s either dehydration or form/technique of excercises being performed. The older I get the more I have to leave my ego at the door. Higher reps less weight for me at least. Anyways up your water intake, watch your sodium intake, and practice proper form brotha.

Ain’t that the truth!! I would love to powerlift like I did 20 years ago… but fuck. Old age makes things break to easy. And takes too long to repair… 😂
