There’s a method to my madness (training). Notice I don’t straight squat but once every couple of months. Same with bp… I have MY training dialed in. It’s hard to get others to understand.

Just so darn lazy… hahaha last set of squats i was looking out the window at baby girl in the pool… I couldn’t resist. Squat walk away POOL TIME!
 
That is some SERIOUS weight you are squatting @Poppy !

Tried the safety squat bar as you suggested, but I’m a low-back squatter, and the safety bar is to far up on my back. Makes it a quad-dominant exercise for me. A Buffalo bar would be perfect, but my gym is still dilly-dallying about whether to buy one. I offered to split it with them.

In the meantime, I did regular squats with a VERY wide grip to try to avoid shoulder issues. I also kept the weight down to 275 x 5 and did work sets there, finishing with 225 x10. It worked well, but was not the enthralling experience of pushing really heavy weights.

Bench press medium grip with fat gripz

135 bar weight plus chains (40lbs a pair)

2 chains x 3

4 chains x 3

6 chains x 3

8 chains x3

Work back down with 4 reps… stopped at 4 chains due to boredom.

Arms shoulders blast strap push-ups abs
 
Like them alot. Not being whiney… I turned wrenches and swung a framing hammer for over 25 years…along with the iron game. The very first thing that failed was my hands. Not so much grip but manipulating my fingers and the barbell resting in my hands hurts bad. The fat grips were a game changer. They feel great. My hands are on the bigger side so i can still grip them pretty good. It just more comfortable.
