So I didn’t find anything helpful but I did find this but I believe they were referring to corticosteroids. Steroids stimulate glucose production by the liver and inhibit peripheral glucose uptake, resulting in insulin resistance. If the pancreas isn’t able to make enough insulin to compensate, hyperglycemia can occur. Also all the bodybuilders I found were all type 1 diabetic. The only thing they had in common was that the majority of the carbs they ate were before and after workouts. 2 of them did mention and I found another atlrticle on nocturnal hyperglycemia that mentioned working out too close to bed can cause it. Also any late night alcohol consumption. So what is too close to bedtime? A few hours? Was kind of hoping for something better.
