On my 55th birthday I was working Saturday ot. I guess my wife and kids had a little surprise party planed for when I got home.

Good grandpa!!! Doing anything like that government related is a lot of work and a lot of waiting. We’re you able to do it all on your own or did you hire a lawyer?

Hahaha we have every bit of $10k tied up in lawyers.

It’s a mountain of paperwork and requires access to a judge x 3 different occasions.

I can’t complain though. Going thru child protective services would take forever and the outcome was not guaranteed.

I actually hate child protective services. They seem to be rescuing the wrong people most the time. They seem to protect the mothers more than anything. I’ve seen them take children away from good homes cause some crazy person reports some bullshit. Glad you went the route you did.
