I was donating blood and was just about done when my I’v site just started spraying blood all over. Bp was 168 over 70 and I wasn’t even squeezing the ball. Blood was spraying a solid 3 ft. Soaked me, I was keeping my hand over it so it ran down my arm and soaked through my jeans and boxers. The lady in front of me was mortified lol good times.
This ever happened to you fellas?

Wow. That’s crazy. Closest thing like that for me was. Donated…came home… took bandage off after an hour or so and squirted blood across kitchen in one squirt…then it started weeping. Wifey got me bandaged back up and no more problems.

Never. But I’d pay a dollar to see the lady’s face that was mortified. I can see people now standing in line seeing that and then turning around and walking out the door lol.

Hahaha I remember in boot camp we were lined up naked…assembly line style. There was folks on each side with syringes and those old airgun things. We would step forward and get hit on each shoulder…step forward get hit…there were some that would faint away…boom right to the floor. The DI’s would were in there hollering at us “DO NOT LET ANYONE HIT THE FLOOR…CATCH THEM”. I was thinking darn we’re all naked and I’m going to catch someone…hahaha

Some of those dudes would stiffen up then fall like a bowling pin…head would bounce off the floor. We were all young and scared… I remember thinking to myself ouch that’s going to leave a mark…don’t faint don’t faint don’t faint AND the sob in front of me better not faint because I’m not sure I will catch him!

Hahah it’s always fucking hilarious watching other people faint, just not funny when it is you lol. I never had to do the assembly line for shoulder shots, but I did see a medic drop a needle and then reuse the damn thing. When it came to the peanut butter shot we were all put in a room and had to stand against the wall facing it with pants dropped. Were told to stick out a hand and a syringe was placed on it. Once everyone had their syringes, the doc came by one by one to jab people in the ass cheeks. I’m already a fainter and all I can hear since I can’t see anything is thudding. Bodies hitting the fucking floor. Just sitting there hearing all these poor bastards faint knowing I’m most likely going to as well but still couldn’t help but chuckle on the inside. Well it got to me and it felt like the doc pushed a pound of air into my ass and I immediately felt like I was going to black out. Me being the experienced fainter, I quickly laid on my back and put my legs up in the air looking like a fucking tard lol. Got some looks but oh well didn’t pass out that day.

Being a reception DI or DS must be a very amusing job with the shit they see on a daily basis. Wonder what mine was thinking when he walked in the room and a 4th of the room of supposedly America’s bravest and hardened men were lying unconscious on the floor over a shot with some weird dude in the corner doing leg lifts. I know I wouldn’t have been able to contain myself, I commend their poise.

Bunch of kids… I have interacted with the military as a civilian my whole career and one thing that never changes as I got older…the guys/gals in the military are all kids. To this day…a 30 something year old gunny is a kid…don’t get me wrong, I know they are great folks and take their job seriously and I have the utmost respect for them. The military is a young mans game no doubt.

Yep. Most of the junior NCOs I had and also lieutenants were in their early 20s. 23 year old staff sergeants. Didn’t really start seeing age until you hit over E7 and O4. Which means a lot of decisions of wether someone will be killed or not rests on the young soldiers who barely have any life experience. I know I’m a young lieutenant at 26 but shit at least I held a few jobs and lived on my own and wasn’t a 22 year old Pl who just left his moms house for the first time after graduating college lol. A lot of time spent in garrison is babysitting young soldiers. Being a team leader or squad leader in my opinion is one of the toughest jobs and you very rarely see anyone that is older in those positions. Not that there isn’t stellar younger soldiers because there is, just in a lot of cases they aren’t mature enough yet to handle that responsibility.

That high of BP my place wouldn’t take blood. That’s insane.

That’s crazy. I’ve never seen that before even on the job

May wanna reassess your current blood donation bus jk it happens. I had same thing not as cool though didn’t have a money shot coming out I am technically not supposed to donate due to anemia. And allegedly prostitution use however I do so I fill the bag up really fast like two pump chump fast so. If They don’t pay attention it will get full and. Let’s say she spilled some and I had to hold somethings and the needle came out and it went to gushing like my wife on date night so I put my finger on it well apparently when the needle came out it ripped my vein and I got a hematoma so big it kinda worried me like golf ball big no shit well as it went away whole arm from elbow to wrist looked like a big purple bruise the lady that did it was older and a felt sorry so I did not say anything.

I fainted at the doctors office after they took blood. The nurse caught me and I woke up on the floor to an old lady laughing at me, I had no idea wherever was and thought I was in hell and the old lady was a demon. I was 12 at the time.
