Well my delts are burning and I’m doing these bad boys with 15’s. They suck felt fine during warm up. Going to do set with 20’s then face pulls call it a
Day

It’s basically a clean and press with either dumbbells or a barbell, then lower the weight from the top of the press like you’re lowering a front delt raise.

An hour for the big 3, I take fairly short rests @ 2 min between sets max… assessory work goes fairly quick too so max is 2 hours

I rest a good amount on heavy sets but when I warm up I just keep adding plates and repping tilling with maybe 1 between to load em up till I reach working set

There aint no way I could do your workout! I would run out of gas for sure!

When I’m running percentages over 90 I’ll increase my rest, otherwise I like to push volume and intensity. My biggest pet peeve about lifting with a team was having to squat with 20 other fuckers half of whom had zero intentions of ever doing meets, and having to wait 10 and 15 min between sets. Those were long workouts, and it led to a lot of animosity between myself and guys I’d trained with for years.

Here’s the log from today. Deadlifts felt fucking amazing… I love to pull, always have… I get off on the feeling of the knurling tearing my skin as I drag the bar! Bench went well too, minimal pain in my shoulder/biceps tendon. I’ve made a few tweaks to my squat, I narrowed my stance considerably and I’m able to feel a little bit more on my left side now… it’s more of a high bar stance, but I still put the bar right on my rear delts… I’ll probably ditch the 20” box for a 17” box, that will put me just below parallel, which will equate to better carry over on DLS

Oh yeah last week on sets of 8 wi to 405 I was doing 2-3 minutes just had to catch breath

I think if I could have it made it would be group of 3 that all lift similar weights. So by the time it’s yiur turn you are rested

It was stupid. We tried to segregate by those who actually compete and those who don’t, equipped lifters and raw, and it never worked. When I was there we had 2 stands, 2 racks and a monolift, and everyone felt it necessary to use the mono. A core group of us even talked about making it a requirement to participate in team training days that you actually compete, but the guy who started the gym didn’t agree, not everyone is cut out for competition and they should still be allowed to train with the big dogs… that’s about the time I left.

That sounds bogus…you either compete…on the team…or you don’t and you just train in your own group. I guess i can hang out with the olympic basketball team and be on the team but never show up and play.

Tonight’s workout, things were a little rough. I dropped squats to an 18” box and had troubles getting comfortable until my last 2 sets, kind of set the tone for the rest of the workout. Bench went fairly well, I took my grip out to pinkies on the rings rather than a thumbs length away from the beginning of the kneeling, I warmed up in a hurry, but paused all working set reps… tonight was not my night for deadlifts, I struggled to get in a grove and everything felt heavy. Last two working sets were the best, but they were still shotty at best, I was GASSED! Accessory work I hustled through as well, just wanted to GTFO of the gym, especially when this dude I call “Fred Flinstone” walked in on my 2nd to last set of DL’s… guy lifts barefoot, with surgical tape wrapped around his damn hands like a boxer, and wears the same F’ing thermal underwear shirt under his T-Shirt every day… smells like holy hell and asks people to spot him on EVERY SET… I don’t even make eye contact with the fucker, that way he can’t ask me…

@Kad1 , Wendler, as in Jim? If so, I’ve used 5/3/1 in the past, it’s a nice little change up from conjugate method… I do have a Wendler program called “Building the Monolith”, its a 6 week 3 day a week program, more of a linear gains program.
