Also how do you create a topic vs a post

Honestly don’t know and don’t want to sound like a dumdass even though its a little late for that lol advice would be awesome so I know what im doing

A post is when you use the arrow to reply to someone like you would reply to this.

A topic is when you enter a category through the dropdown. Then use the new topic button. This would be a topic.
