I was hoping to get out with my muzzle loader this year, not sure now though with the condition of my hip, may have to put it off another year. Unless I can convince my dad and step mom to just let me come shoot one off their porch on their farm, hahaha, joking!
I’ve been toying with buying a muzzle loader. Love the early hunt and not so much pressure on the animals yet. And recommended models, tips when shopping, etc…
Ain’t nothin wrong with shooting off the porch, I’d rather be in the woods in a tree or doin drives… I do drives to my wife she loves the excitement, hasn’t shot one yet but hopefully this year
I have an NEF heritage and a TC Omega, love them both. Both break action, easy to disassemble and clean, use pellets or powder. I also have a TC Hawken that I use from time to time still with round ball slugs when I’m feeling extra colonial, haha.
That’s how we used to shot gun hunt. Push the deer down large plots. I had a
Host doing that, everyone always filled their tags. Unfortunately we started to get WAY too many people, so I stopped hunting with that group
Yeah, I mean it’s nice to have a lot dudes to get the deer moving, but i like smaller groups, things go more efficient and smooth that way, I have one buddy and his dad,the wife and my dad and the kid who just walks with me when I’m pushing.
