Missing your veins. I was thinking how the hell
I’ve never had anyone miss my veins and y’all’s pop more then mine. Well I just donated blood and low and behold she missed my vein. Then started digging around with that dam harpoon. Lol
It’s painful but it reduces infection risk greatly to attempt to hit the vein once it’s in the skin. We’ve all had to do it. I feel so bad every time. But it’s better than repeated stick in the Skin.
I appreciate that info @NeuroRN Just thought it fucking hilarious that y’all were just talking about it yesterday and I’m thinking wow. How is that possible. Then today it happens. Everytime I go to donate I hear the girls telling me how great my veins are. Made me laugh
Like I said, SHIT HAPPENS! I’ve missed some juicy ones before. Large veins are full of valves. Most commonly the iv cath is pressed against that valve and keeping it closed.
But sometimes. They missed the whole bloody vein. Which is tough to watch.

This is this AM after a 12 hour fasted Dynamic Effort Lower Body workout that involved ZERO squats. It was cluster sets of narrow stance speed deadlifts @225 w/100 lbs of chain, some 17” box step ups with high knees, leg extensions and hamstring curls. Not
Much change from the other day, but these cute little toothpicks once squatted 3 times my body weight in 1 weight class, and almost a 2nd weight class
Oddly enough, the atrophied quad is my leg that still has a real hip… haven’t quite figured out why that leg is smaller

Def wanna see that. Watching your videos with coach Meadows was very enlightening seeing it vs reading it. And all the little adjustments with form and such was great
