For those of you in Texas you know that the governor revoked the mandate of requiring face masks in public.
Today, my girl took the vehicle that had all the masks in it. I texted my coworker who is a master sergeant and asked if the university was still requiring masks and if they are would I hurt anyone’s feelings during my walk to the office. He replied that it was still in effect. So, I said, " I figured a liberal cesspool would still have it in effect alright then."
I arrived at the office, grabbed one of the face masks they had on the table and said, “got my face diaper, all good now.” He then proceeded to give me a spill of what he called professional advice. Went on about how I wear the uniform and can’t be expressing my opinions like that and if the text went to anybody else I could get into trouble. That I am already walking a fine line so why risk any further punishment. Continued on about how he disagrees with how the military is adapting to this new generation and is why he is choosing to retire. But his tone changed when I laid out my point of view and he seemed to be just a little bit agitated. I told him that I understood the policies that I am supposed to adhere to, how I should conduct myself, but I simply do not give a fuck nor do I care about the consequences of my actions. I will stand up for what I believe in regardless of the repercussions, I don’t have a filter, and I will speak my mind. He then said well they can take my pay to which I replied they can go right ahead, I will just switch from part time to full time art my other job and not even show up to work. He said I couldn’t do that, I said sure I can, I am just prepared for the consequences.
The problem I have with individuals like this is they disagree with the direction that our country is going, they disagree that the military is becoming soft and adapting to this new generation and culture, yet they do NOTHING about it. They sit in silence and just do what they’re supposed to do and take it up the ass. I’m sorry, I just can’t conform to the bullshit, never have been that person and never will. I am not going to relinquish my freedoms out of fear and it is people like that who are partially responsible to why this new culture has gained so much ground.
To me this uniform should represent the greatest country on earth, the most lethal fighting force the world has ever seen, and the baddest most courageous men America has to offer. In my opinion, being scared to express your opinion is a sign of weakness, it gives off a craven demeanor to which I find incredibly disturbing if you are part of the military. Men and women have died to preserve western ideals, freedom at our Homefront and freedom abroad. But apparently your sacrifice is met with restrictions on your rights. People should have a fucking sack if they’re in the military, not tuck tail and conform to all the bullshit. Unfortunately, those people will choose to do what they’re supposed to do and never give any pushback. You think the military would never encroach on it’s citizens liberties if instructed to do so? Sure they will, all it takes is for people like that to be in charge and the way it is looking, that is our military’s future. Look at law enforcement, whom I have the utmost respect for if they uphold their oath, many officers during the course of this pandemic were violating the freedoms of citizens by arresting them for not wearing a fucking mask or enforcing business shutdowns. I know many people on the right of the political spectrum think that the military and law enforcement could never do such a thing because they think most are conservatives or libertarians. Think again.
It appears the impetus of this new left will not lose any traction. I foresee them gaining a supermajority in the senate and house and what comes next is your loss of freedom. The first amendment and the second amendment out the fucking window. It pisses me off that this country will soon become not the land of the free, but a socialistic shithole.
