Virus Thoughts Upcoming Fall/Winter

Guys/Gals,

With schools and colleges starting back and Fall/Winter approaching, do you think this virus is going to bust loose again?

I hope not…we need some normalcy for awhile.

I think so. A hand full of the public schools here started last week, and the majority of them in heavily populous areas have all had confirmed cases already in a week of school. My youngest daughter is in 7th grade, there’s already been 1 confirmed case in her school district. The colleges around here are blowing up too, I’m working on the new athletics building for Iowa State University, they’ve had several cases in 2 weeks of school. My middle daughter is a senior at University of Iowa this year, she’s taking her classes here at home through a community college and not going back to campus. I have a sister who’s 23 years younger than me, she’s a senior in high school in a VERY small school district in North Eastern Iowa, there have even been a few cases up around there where she and my dad and step mom live. It’s unfortunate, especially with all the other bullshit going on in the world.

I think it’s going to compound with flu season and the actual mortality will sky rocket as people die from the flu with covid complications.

I agree, I think there will be a spike. This should be expected and hopefully people don’t panic this time around and as long as the gyms stay
open and I don’t have to fight some stupid asshole with a grocery cart full of chicken that they can’t possibly eat that much…I think we will be ok.

Bahahaha good luck. People are dumb. Prone to panic. And over all quite unhealthy. It’s gonna be a long winter. And my honeymoon is gonna have to be rescheduled for the 3rd time.

CDC casually dropped this nugget this week. Saying only 6% of all deaths were strictly covid deaths. Bringing the actual covid only death toll to 9,000.

I think the flu will make covid so much worse.

Oh so you mean the media is full of shit ??? The virus is here it’s not going anywhere but when flu deaths start it will be COVIDs fault and by then trump will be president and it will be all his fault. Every flu death will be called a COVID death dame old song and dance

It’s very good. Some of it is we have a better understanding, and the other part seems to be just dumb luck. This second wave strain doesn’t seem to be as lethal.

Isn’t it the same virus? Or did it mutate?

It is the same virus, honestly there’s still a considerable amount of guess work going on.

Could be it mutated, could be the “weak” got the virus first go around they died from, or could be we’ve found a better support treatment.

Either way… less people are dying from the virus, and we know more than we did 3 months ago.

Numbers aren’t as high as they claim now. All the damn tests are too high in sensitivity and it’s finally getting noticed. But most the media will never tell people about it.
