That is such a fun position to play. Contact and fighting all the time. That’s why my son loves it even though he is undersized. He won’t lose until he dies. He is like his stepmom. Lol.
 
Still not sure how I ended up there. Looking back I feel I would have rather walked on to larger school than start as freshman D2. Oh well they payed me I guess
 
All that matters is did you kick ass and have fun. I always remind my son of that. If your not having fun why are you doing it!! He is so flipping competitive that he don’t have fun unless his team is winning. I always remind him. Did you have fun kicking ass???
 
I played Tight end and defensive end in HS. In the Marines we had tackle football teams. Play defensive end mostly. Sometimes tight end but mostly blocking. Never got any passes. But I did love to light up a OSL on sweeps. 😂
 
I regret not wrestling but I wanted to focus on lifting for football as I knew i was playing college and our heavy was one of my best friends and didn’t want to take his spot hahah
 
Nice!!! I played tight end in college but my favorite in highschool was defense. But at 220 and a 4:9 40 (which was fast for a big boy 26 years ago) I was a shoe in as tight end. Plus I had good hands.

I coach youth wrestling now also as well as youth soccer and football. But I cannot advocate any sport more than wrestling as a sport that helps all other sports. @Dirtnasty if you have kids or influence on any kids. Wrestling is the best all around body workout a kid could ever get. I don’t know of any wrestlers that aren’t the studs at other sports.

But what if you still do those things, you know kill animals and play with yourself??? I mean, I’m asking for a friend. 😁
 
Weeew, he’s glad that it’s still ok. Just as long as there’s nothing with pulling the wings off flies or anything like that. 😂
 
My kids and wife kill deer squirrels ducks turtles (which take a day to stop moving lol) rabbits etc. I don’t kill much anymore cause I save it for them. And I have so much fun seeing their excitement. I will sit in the stand and watch a herd of deer go by and not shoot one unless there is a trophy cause I leave it for them. Honestly I cannot tell you how many deer I have shot. A shit ton. So I leave it for them. Non the less we never run out of venison.
