Back in the gym after a month - age 53 - built by Flash⚡️Labs

It’s pounding them poor folks. The year of Florence… we got 98 inches of rain. Something like 30 inches from Florence.

I have a cobalt/chromium hip joint in my right hip and have to be tested for metal concentration every year as a result. I’m about to do it again for the first time this year, and I’m expected a big tick up, which may require chelation therapy to eradicate the metals. Upshot is that metals are fine in certain concentrations, but above those levels, they are poisonous.

I know at the plant they had many on a surveillance program. When the stuuf they ingested got a certain level the employee would be taken out of those conditions and placed somewhere else for a period of time. Their body would rid itself of the heavy metals over time.

Ok, today I’m actually going to go do legs. Yesterday I rested. My body is sore from being back in the gym again. Not looking forward to the next few days of leg pain but I know I’ll be proud of myself for doing them. I just want to do the horizontal leg press machine, calf raises, and ride the bike while watching a movie in the cardio theatre. I fear any form of hamstrings big time after the last time I tore them. I’ve tore my hams many times and it really sucks! Old reoccurring injuries never heal right at my age.

They sure do.

I just finished legs. Thank God my hamstring made it through leg curls without snapping. I did 4 sets of horizontal squat press, 3 sets of leg curls, and 7 sets of calf raises. My calves look swole. I could literally feel fibers firing everywhere like they hadn’t been used in forever. I skipped cardio because it’s hard to walk from just that small workout. Haha 😀
I’m real pleased now that I finally did legs, 💪
