What’s up everyone! I am new member to the board here’s a little intro about me.
Well, I am 44yrs old and getting back into this after a torn rotator cuff injury and marriage had me out of the game for several years. I have done several cycles back in my late twenties and early thirties but none in about 10yrs. I have continued to lift at a moderate level on and off the whole time but nothing serious. A recent divorce, a little bit of extra time and the weight i’ve gained has me getting back into this hard as I can at my age. I am open to any and all advice as I am no expert at all, just got a little bit of personal experience.
My goal is to drop bodyfat and at least keep what I have until I can do a bulk cycle in the fall. Pretty much all I have done are bulking cycles so I am looking for any advice on how to cut up for summer.
I’ve been checking out the board and found many helpful topics. I am gonna continue to check it out and hopefully find some decent advice and motivation. Just wanted to check in and say whats up!!!
Thanks to all you guys who contributed to the great info already out on this board.

Welcome sir.

What does your diet and training look like now? Weight height?

Welcome. I can’t say I suggest hopping on AAS to start a cut cycle. That’s the easy part. Control your diet, count your macros, stay in a caloric deficit. Then once your diet in dialed in and you’ve lost the weight you want… we can talk about a cycle.

Training 6 days a week with cardio 3-4 times at end of workout for 30-45mins. Diet is 1.5g protein per bodyweight lb, carbs are 150g per day. Diet is eggs, oatmeal, tuna, chicken, rice, bananas, apples and protein drinks.
height is 5ft 10in at 245lbs.
I got some work ahead of me but I’m up for it.

Welcome. Great place here, lots of good info and guys here that are gun toting, red blooded solid family men that show the same discipline in their daily lives and their lifting and use of compounds.

Welcome!

Well, 44 is by far labeled as old. 44 is a perfect age to be smarter about things than you were in late 20’s and 30’s. Maybe get a baseline lab panel done to see where you’re at on the scale. (i.e. CMP, Testosterone Levels, Liver, Lipids…)
Then you can see if you have any underlying issues that needs to be cleaned up, along with your nutrition, as well as if you need to be on TRT.

Welcome brother. Agree with everything said here. High BF and too much test equals high estro usually. Your investment on a cycle is gonna be far better once you reach your goal weight. TRT will help a ton with body transformation if your natural test is low. And stay away from the booze. I drank like a fish after my divorce. Alcohol will tank your test levels and prevent you from ever reaching your goals. I know first hand. Def get labs done like recommended. Scratch off your personal info and post them up. We have a lot of professionals here that will interpret them for you and guide you to correcting any issues with them

My opinion only….after you drop some bf, lets say 20-25 lbs. go get your labs drawn. See where your markers are. Get a comprehensive panel to include psa, testosterone, estrogen etc.

You may be eligible for scripted trt.

Do you have a good primary care physician and health insurance?

Welcome…

Get your blood work done and see if you are a candidate for trt. The work you are doing, the cleaning eating, and balanced test levels (if needed) would exponentially help your goals over the course of a year.

Thank you all!!! Never imagined I’d get a welcome like that. Gives me more motivation to stick to this hard. Gotta stay away from the booze, yeah thats a big one right after this divorce but Im gonna see it through.
Will be posting more and gaining as much wisdom as I can from all of you here!!!
Thank You
