Powerlifting log 1 day out from comp

Gotta be safe if lifting big definitely don’t trust the little guy lol sorry I thought that was funny he couldn’t help he sucks. Smh
Im glad that you should be ok but I would rest it give it some love. You know

@squatter, I dealt with a pec strain for almost a year once… I was 8 weeks out from a meet, same thing, felt a pop in my pec insertion, heard an audible snap, freaked out right away, luckily had a friend who is an MD, she ordered an MRI, nothing torn just severely strained, MRI nurse told me I was lucky it didn’t tear… then for almost a year, every time I would start pushing bench again, boom, same thing. It was horrible, kept me out of 2 meets and forced a token 100 kilo bench in a 3rd meet. It was a bad year, but looking back had I done some things differently like HGH or even BPC 157 rather than just upping my test and deca, I may have healed a little better…

Going to the gym today going to try some deadlifts and see how the pec fairs. The pec only hurts when used or raising hand above head. If i hurts i will just do some machines. I will tell you guys how it does, after the gym. I just took 25mg dbol for some fun.

I did squat instead and they felt good. worked up to an easy single at 585lb. Then did 3 sets of vertical leg press and 3 sets of leg extension paired with standing hamstring curl. Pec did not bother me, i adjusted my grip a bit on squats and that made it pain free.

I ate 8oz top sirloin, 1 box of chickpea penne pasta with sauce, and 1 spicy chicken breast breaded with mozzarrela cheese and 2 Reeses peanut butter cookies my brother made me. That food put me in a great mood.

That is a exactly how my shoulder was let great till I had to raise arm or do any pressing sucks it’s this close to competition. I think had I had a comp coming with my injury I would have shut down my shoulder for the rest of camp and just said fuck it were going for as heavy as I think I can get on first go round it rips it rips. I’m also stupid though

I have seen guys at meets push the limits of their injuries… I’m not sure what their healing regimens were, but I don’t think I would suggest it. I watched Ernie Lilliebridge Jr hit a 200 kilo bench with a partially torn peck in a meet some years back, and I know a guy from my old team who nailed a 700 lb squat 6 weeks after tearing a quadriceps…

I think dave tate wrote about straining a pec before a meet and ended up having a to bench using lats and a shoulder hinge movement… but I think he was multi-ply… way different.

Yes, Dave Tate was a multi ply lifter… one of the best to come out of Westside behind maybe Chuck Vogelpohl and Matt Dimel… he hit a 700+ lbs High Box squat 7 days post Total Hip Replacement (anterior approach), the video is on YouTube. multi ply is a whole different monster. I competed single ply for a while, then switched to multi ply, I hated it so much I went back to raw… 6 hour squat sessions, and fighting 3 grizzly bears to get a fucking squat suit on was not fun… I would do single ply again, but I’m not sure my hip would like the position a squatter would put it in, plus I’m not sure I would get much carry over from a deadlifter…
I’ve met several EFS and Big Iron lifters, all disciples of Louie, it’s very humbling being in the company of people like that, they’re all on a completely different level of crazy, but they all had very good information to hand out on different training methods and how to bring up weak points in different lifts.

I was raw then single ply then went to raw but quit prior to competing raw again.

The westside guys/gals were the definition of eat sleep breath powerlifting. Complete dedication. Sounds like you were right there with them. I was no where near that dedicated.

Oh no, I was no where near that level. I would have loved to have been. I had elite #’s in deadlift, squat and total, but I was WORLDS behind those guys. I don’t think any of them were human, or mortal for that matter…

Taking the next couple days off the gym till wednesday, pec feels better can move in any direction now, went to physical therapy last week and going twice next week to heal it up fast. With insurance it only costs 25 bucks a visit so that is pretty good. Started bpc-157 today at 500mcg per day pinned into the pec with .5" slin pin. Thought about using a 1" pin but scared me a bit i dont want that in my heart, lol. @OneQ HGH has been great.

Busy with finals this week, last one is wednesday night. I havent ate much in the last couple days, but going to push it hard full steam ahead once done with finals. Weighing about 260lb in AM, last week was 268lb in AM. I bought some mass gainer.

Deadlift on thursday trying 585lb, i did 545lb for 2 with no straps with a strongman competitor who helped me with grip. He said I was holding the bar to tight and close in my hand. It really helped.
I am taking 50mg Tren Ace ED but sunday, 1250mg test e, 300mg deca, and 4iu hgh split AM/PM, and 500mcg BPC-157 in injuried pec. .5mg prami pharma grade seems to work good for keeping progesterone side effects away from tren and deca.

Pec is feeling alright physical therpay is helping, and doing 5lb db bench press for sets of 30 everyday, to get more blood in there.
