Just curious on how your kids school system is handling the virus?

Will it be all online? Some online and some in person?

People…kids in general really need to socialize in person aside from social media…just my two cents.

Most of the districts in Iowa are doing Hybrid where they go 50% and do online 50%, allowing social distancing and ability for teachers to clean the schools… however, the community full of asshats I live in decided that all the kids need to be back in school full time, because Corona is over. It’s one of the largest school districts in the state and one of the fastest growing communities in America, full of idiots!

I agree with you 100% kids just staring at screens all the time is honestly melting there brains.
There will be no socializing soon unless your on camera its ridiculous and we’re going to have alot of future problems because of this virus situation.

If these kids grow up without Going to physical school, I can’t even imagine how much they will struggle with basic social interaction. Which will translate to a whole generation who are unable to provide any sort of quality good or service.

Alabama is still waiting on someone to make a call. Basically no one wants to make the call, they are all waiting on someone else to take responsibility. Typical government.

I would prefer they leave it up to the parents, give them the option of remote learning by broadcasting from the classroom, and those that want to attend should do so.

I have family members that I have no doubt could not fight off covid. If I died from it so be it, but man if someone gave it to me and I passed it to them and they died, I don’t know what I’d do. Besides hunt down the fucker that gave it to me if he/she was refusing to wear a mask or social distance.

I agree socializing is crucial, but man have you been to a public school lately? It’s a cesspool for the most part of kids with parents who don’t give a fuck and sit at home and shoot meth.

I’ve had way too many bad experiences with the school district here to believe what they are doing is in the best interest of my kids, and can keep them safe.

My wife is a teacher and her school was the first to go back here it was all over cnn and the news she is ok with it most parents are only the ones who complain about anything seem to be upset the longer they stay out the further behind they will get
No more unsafe than what they do on a daily basis
My 3 yr old has been in daycare they whole time and they have not had any issues it’s in The lords hands anyway as soon as the election is over it will be old news

I heard about a camp where they wore masks and social distance and out of 300 kids 10 and under plus supervisors who were adults 260 tested positive.
This is going to be a pain in the ass for along time.

A person I went to nursing school with now works a Nurse practitioner in a rural clinic. They kept having crazy high positives… so she sent in swabs, five to be exact, that had never been used on anyone… ALL FUCKING FIVE CAME BACK POSITIVE. I don’t know what that means for the state of the world but it really pisses me off. I know that much.

Same here a teacher that works with my wife made an appointment online and when they got there it was like a 2 1/2 hr wait so they left like two weeks later they got a letter in the mail saying they were all positive

My daughters middle school is looking to do a 4 day school schedule with shorter days. They plan on cutting out art and such. The online schooling is dumb in my opinion. Talking with my kids teachers they say most of the kids in these zoom meetings they can’t tell if they’re there or not. I don’t want my kids getting sick but I also don’t want them being dumb asses either.

Its a crazy decision and we really don’t have the information to make a good decision on to send them back but also keeping them out of school is going to be a very bad outcome in my opinion
