Feeling really good about this cut so far. Right now I’ve been simply paring back the portions on most of my meals. Yesterday when I was really hungry I tossed a portion of lettuce in with my tex mex chicken bowl and called it a salad instead to help increase the volume. I’m also back to having veggies (tomatoes, cucumbers) to munch on with breakfast in the morning.

Ooh, I also discovered a wonderful thing you can do with certain cheeses – grating them and using them for topping. I have a lot of tex-mex-ish stuff on my regular menu, so one thing I can add to almost everything is cotija cheese, carefully grated on top. It fits perfectly within my macros and only an ounce or so grates out to a massive, fluffy pile of cheese for my chili, tex mex bowls or tacos.

Compliance is at 95% and climbing and down 1 lb so far. FYI when I give weight measurements, they are given as a 7 day rolling average, not a single day measurement. This is because a single daily weigh in number is relatively useless imho when considering how much body weight fluctuates. A seven day rolling average is much more consistent.

I entered the RP transformation challenge as well! Their challenge perfectly lines up with my goals and timelines for them, so it made sense to enter. Their deadline is by april 2, so I have until then to lose as much fat as I can!

If I remember correctly the rp challenge usually offers a big prize package.

Also agree with daily weight loss… it’ll drive you crazy and I don’t think it’s very indicative of your total effort.

Good mornings felt shaky. Having problems with low bar position. Bar was moving around a bit too much on my back. Need to work on these.

Went out for BBQ at Bone Daddy’s with fiancée last night. Had Turkey, mashed potatoes and green beans with a roll. Not exactly on protocol, but not entirely unreasonable. I didn’t bother tracking it in the app — I just assumed the buttered-soaked roll put me over on my macros and moved on with life. Later that evening I fell asleep on the couch watching fiancée play Stardew Valley and missed dinner. Either way those count towards compliance in the app, knocking me down to 90%.

I’ve been working on waking up every day at 6:45 AM so that I can get my run/walk and dance practice in. If it works out as planned and I grind for at least 5-10 minutes of dance practice I can usually get 60% of my daily activity requirement done with my morning activity. So far I’m doing great waking up on time, but boss has been doing morning meetings this week so it’s been rocky getting my activity in on time. I’m keeping at it tho — this isn’t normal so I’m just focusing on building the habits piece by piece.

Feeling great about this cut! I was a bit worried going in that I wouldn’t be able to control myself around food but lo and behold bodybuilder habits and discipline took over and kept super compliant. Maybe I actually know what I’m doing…? 🤔

This week I also implemented a new reward system to make sure I’m consistent about dance practice. You see, Overwatch 2 comes out next year and I need a PC to run it. So I decided that every day I do my dance practice I’ll buy 10$ in crypto into my Cash App wallet, which I barely use. After about six months of practice I should have enough money for a pretty dope PC.

Despite literally freezing temperatures outside, my cardio has been consistent and most days I hit 10K steps easily now that I’ve incorporated running.

All in all, a pretty smashing start, but the grind is coming lmao.
