Todays training

Circuit

Front squat 135#, 45• back raises, calves, crunches, neck. 10 reps each with one minute rest in between each round. 4 rounds. Bout an hour in pool playing with baby girl with 50 laps sideways in shallow end fwd and backwards.

Trained in these.

Fuck them pool workouts. We used to do that in track. Shallow end sprints.

Then deep water running to stay afloat. Hell no.

To be honest I stole the backwards walking from your playbook…walking on tmill backwards. Knees feel great.

Yes it’s definitely a “session”… especially with a fiesty 7 yo clinging on you like a spider monkey.
 
I swim underwater the length of the pool just under the surface with her riding me. Did that with two older kids when the were little too.
 
In case anyone really gives a rip. Here’s a cross section of 30 days of my macros. I went in and picked some of the high’s and low’s. Overall I’m hanging just north of 2k cals a day. The fat cals (mostly) come from nuts (walnuts in particular) and olive oil. I’ve cut waayy back on sugar’s. The sugar you see is (mostly) from a package of brown sugar and maple oatmeal and a tbsp or two of pb.

Disregard the goals column. That came with the free app and is exactly 180 out from my personal goals… regular pedestrian stuff.

For reference range: getting ready to turn 61yo with type 2 diabetes. 5’9” bw is ~205. Non competitive gym hobbyist. Training age ~46 years

Carbs is mostly from small portions of sweet potato, brown rice and trail mix.

Protein is chicken turkey shrimp tuna some pork and beef whey isolate.

The trail mix has some flax seed in it (fat) as well as some sugar…. Depending on type brand. It’s all measured out 1/2 cup at a time.

Another circuit

Pull downs, blast strap incline push ups, shrugs, standing blast strap curls, YTW’s, tricep push downs.

20 reps each. 60-90 secs rest between ea round. Warmup plus 3 rounds.

30 minutes pool time
 
I’ve seen my future goals. This fella has given me something to shoot for.
