Summer is coming. NeuroRN log

I’m very pleased with how this is going.

I definitely reached a place where I felt kinda burned out with diet and pushing everything to the max. I didn’t realize it until snowboarding season came but I was probably tipping the balance of healthy vs obsessive in the negative direction.

I’ve been focusing more on 80/20 in terms of diet. Pushing hard in the gym but not killing myself for missing a day or choosing to hike instead.

I’ve stayed steady between 230-235, but have definitely gained some size. While staying pretty lean as poppy stated. My strength has gone up, seen by ease of reps, increased rep count and plain ole heavier weights on some lifts.

My joints are pretty terrible already (as noted by @Poppy cringing every time he sees my knees) so I tend to increase weight slowly.

This was taken Monday night.

😂😂😂😂 they are structurally unsound. I wear knee sleeves on leg day so I don’t have to watch them move, has nothing to do with support 😂😂

Wouldn’t your body adapt and recover better if you did something like that at younger age?

I have a neighbor (retired Marine) that just got a hip replacement at 60. He needed it 10 years ago or so but they wouldn’t do it for that reason. They only want to do it once.
