I’ve hit a plateau couple weeks ago. I switched to a high volume style I’ve never done before.
Called giant sets. Can only do two or theee muscle groups per day it’s working really well but it fucking killer
Ex
Chest
Bench 8-10 reps-rest ten seconds
Incline bench 8-10 reps rest ten seconds
Peck deck flys 10-12 reps rest ten seconds
Dips 8-10
That’s one set then rest two minutes and repeat for total
Of 4 sets. Weight has to be just enough so you fail on two
Or three exercises on the fourth set before reaching goal If you can complete all with no fails weight is too light. If your failing in third set weight is too heavy so gotta play with it a bit. Add five pounds each week.
Honestly I wouldn’t do that high of reps on squats it ends up beocimg more cardio
Than muscle fatigue. Your running an rp template right. I’m pretty sure I’ve even heard dr like say this before. 12 would probably be as high as I go
Extremely… they used to store those half height kicking dummies right by the hack squat machine. I used to have to lean on those for several minutes prior to being ambulatory. My quads, glutes were the biggest in my life. Also ramped up to a 605 squat on the platform.
